Obituary of Marshall Putnam

PUTNAM, Marshall Young age 83 of Nashville, Tennessee passed peacefully June 13, 2011 in Lebanon, Ohio with his family by his side. Born the son of Woodrow Jable and Hettie (Gill) Putnam he was raised in Nashville. He retired from the L & N Railroad and the State of Tennessee and served his country in World War II as a Screaming Eagle in the 101st Airborne Division. Marshall enjoyed collecting guns and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Gegina (Finney) Putnam, brother John and grandson Marty Putnam, he leaves behind his brother Woodrow Putnam, two sons Marshall and James Putnam, daughter-in-law Julie Putnam; grandchildren Stephanie and Rachael Putnam and several great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:30am at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
