Obituary of Leonhard Glas

GLAS, Leonhard age 74 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Born October 26, 1936 in Dingolfing, Germany, Leonhard was the son of Georg and Kreszenz (Konig) Dingolfing and was a retired press operator with the International Paper Company in Mason, Ohio. Leonard came to the United States from Germany in 1952 and became a citizen in the late 50's. Leonhard was a 1954 graduate of Lebanon High School and was proud U.S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Tilda Glas in April of 2010, Leonhard leaves behind his sons Larry (Brenda) Fields of Lebanon, Ohio and Joseph Douglas (Vicky) Glas of South Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Anita Ann (Keith) Lawson of Maineville, Ohio; brothers Erich and Herbert Glas of Germany; sister Anna Garbotz of Germany; sister-in-law Hulda Scherer of Waynesville, Ohio; 5 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call on the family Friday evening, August 5, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 11:00am with Pastor Charlie Newberry officating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
