Obituary of Carl Elam

ELAM, Carl Gene Sr. age 79 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, July 25, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties with his family by his side. Born June 20, 1932 in Middletown, Ohio, Carl was the son of Ollie and Nellie (Kincaid) Elam and 1950 graduate of Springboro High School. Carl was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Carl was a retiree from General Motors retiring in 1982 and a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge where he was a 32nd Degree Mason. Preceded in death by his parents and wife Margaret Elam in 2001, Carl leaves behind his sons Dan D. Elam of Oregonia, Carl Gene Elam, Jr of Franklin, Ohio and daughter Elaine Reed of Ann Arbor, Michigan; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Friends may call on the family Friday, July 29, 2011 from 11:00am until 11:30am at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home at 11:30am with the funeral service following. Burial will follow in the Springboro Cemetery, Springboro, Ohio.
