Obituary of Lytle Hammond
HAMMOND, Lytle age 85 of Walton, Kentucky and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. Born August 19, 1925 in Scott County, Kentucky, Lytle was the son of Oscar and Sara Jane (Wilson) Hammond and was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a devoted Christian. Lytle retired with 37 years of service from the Powell Valve Company in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a volunteer with the Corinth, Kentucky Fire Department for many years. Lytle loved to fish, enjoyed camping and attending church and his favorite saying was "I love My Jesus". Preceded in death by his parents, wife Mabel (Hensley) Hammond and daughter Jackie Eckler, Lytle leaves behind his daughter Lillian Ann (George) Eckler of Kentucky, brother Chester Hammond, sister Elizabeth "Libby" Simon and grandchildren Jason and Franklin Griggs.
Friends may call on the family Thursday evening, July 21, 2011 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday morning, July 22, 2011 at 11:00am with Brother Jeff Isaacs and Brother Tom Roach officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
