Obituary of George Gerspacher
GERSPACHER, George A. age 77 of Waynesville, Ohio and formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, July 1, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. Born October 14, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio, George was the son of George H. and Catherine (Bailey) Gerspacher and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. George was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and the founder of Gerspacher's Garage of Brown Street in Dayton that later relocated in Clearcreek Township in Warren County. George retired from the family business in 1992 and son Jeff continues to operate the business. George lived in Waynesville for the past 32 years and was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, a member of the Warren County Antique Tractor Club , was a private pilot and enjoyed restoring antiue tractors and building and flying model airplanes..
Preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Tellis, George leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 58 years Carolyn (Warning) Gerspacher of Waynesville, Ohio; sons Jeff (Kay) Gerspacher, Mark (Julie), Steve (Doris) and David (Diane) Gerspacher; daughters Diane Gerspacher, Jennifer (Scott) St. John; Susan Van Overbeke and Carrie (John) Philpot; brother Jim Gerspacher, sister Mary Lou Russell; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on the family Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 11:00am until 100pm at the St, Augustine Catholic Church, Waynesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church at 1:00pm with Father Raymond Kammerer officaiting. Burial will follow in the Miami Cemetery in Corwin, Ohio.
