Obituary of Elizabeth Bennett

BENNETT, Elizabeth R. (nee Joy) age 96 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Lebanon Country Manor. Born June 18, 1915 in Peoria, Illinois, Elizabeth was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Upon retirement, Elizabeth and her husband James retired and moved to Punta Gorda, Florida where they lived for forty years. Elizabeth was a member of the Punta Gorda Congregational United Church, was an avid gardner and later moved to Ohio for the past two years to be closer to her family. Preceded in death by her parents, husband James W. Bennett and two sisters, Elizabeth leaves behind her son Stephen (Patricia) Bennett of Morrow, Ohio, grandchildren Elizabeth Thornhill of Springboro, Ohio and David Bennett of Loveland, Ohio and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, July 6, 2011from 3:00pm until 4:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 4:00pm with Pastor Wendell Deyo officiaitng. Entombment will be held at a later date in the Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, Florida.
