Obituary of Miriam Nickell

NICKELL, Miriam (nee Smith) age 80 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday evening, June 28, 2011 at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Care in Middletown, Ohio with her family by her side. Born September 9, 1930 in Lebanon, Ohio, Miriam was the daughter of Clayton and Mildred (Osborne) Smith and was a retired Deputy Chief of Staff with Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio retiring in 1986. Miriam was a loving a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendell Nickell and sister Janet Helton, Miriam leaves behind her sons Michael (Ed Powell) Nickell of Liberty Township and Ronald R. (Peg) Nickell of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Brian (Nikki) Nickell, Andy (Maricela) Nickell; Kelly (Jason) Christman and Katie Rickard; great-grandchildren Lilyanne Nickell, Derrick, Kailee and Taylor Couch and Kyle (Karlie) Rickard and her very special lifelong friends Boz and June Russell of Lebanon, Ohio. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 10:30am in the chapel at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
