Obituary of Marshall Putnam

PUTNAM, Marshall Young age 83 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Nashville, Tennessee passed peacefully Monday evening, June 13, 2011 with his family by his side. Born January 6, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee, Marshall was the son of Woodrow Jable and Hettie Mai (Gill) Putnam and was a retired engineer with the L & N Railroad and also a retiree with the State of Tennessee. Marshall was a proud World War II U.S. Army Veteran of the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles. Marshall was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed dining at Cracker Barrel and collecting guns. Preceded in death by his parents,wife Regina (Finney) Putnam, brother John Putnam and grandson Marty Putnam, Marshall leaves behind his sons Marshall A. (Julie) Putnam of Lebanon, Ohio and James Woodrow Putnam of Brooklyn, Michigan; brother Woodrow Jable Putnam, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren Stephanie and Rachel Putnam and six great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held in the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee and is still in the planning process by the family.
