Obituary of Timothy Owens

OWENS, Timothy Ray age 61 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Blanchester, Ohio passed unexpectedly Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Born June 7, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tim was the son of Frank Joseph and Betty (Burnett) Owens and was a retired corrections officer with the Lebanon Correctional Institute with 22 years of service. During his 22 years of service with Lebanon Correctional, Tim wore many hats beside being a corrections officer including kitchen duties and the industrial shop. Tim was a loving and caring father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed collecting Barq's antiques,coins, hunting and fishing but most of all, spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, brother David Owens, sister Barbara Wiederhold and niece Jennifer Anderson, Tim leaves behind his daughters Barbara (Seldon) Howard of Pleasant Plain, Ohio and Susan (Charles) Kuhl of Colerain Township, Ohio; brothers Frank Owens of Milford, Ohio and Jerry (Ruthie) Owens of Mt. Orab, Ohio; sisters Denise (Mike) Meyers of Blanchester, Ohio, Becky (Dennis) Humphrey of Hollister, California, Carol Anderson of Goshen, Ohio and Debbie Gilbert of Mt. Unger; six grandchildren and many other family members and friends made throughout his 61 years.
