Obituary of Lois Foltz

FOLTZ, Lois J. age 83 of Monroe, Ohio passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Garden Manor Extended Care Center in Middletown, Ohio after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Florance and Abigail Marguerite (Stearns) Mumaugh, her first husband Lloyd Handy, brother Charles Mumaugh, sister Mary Betz, son Todd Handy and a step-daughter Dorothy Rapp. She leaves behind her loving husband of 31 years, Verlin, sister Joan Mooney, daughterTara Everett (Jeffery), son Michael Handy, two granddaughters Nicole Everett (Richard Champion) and Emily Everett; four step-children Jean Deuser (Gary), Judith Weidner (Robert), Wayne Foltz (Sandra) and Brenda Foltz; 9 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Lois was a generous person who enjoyed helping other people. She was also a dedicated homemaker and cherished spending time with her family. Friends may call on the family Monday, March 21, 2011 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the Miami Cemetery Chapel in Corwin, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the cemetery chapel at 2:00pm with Reverend Gaylen Hoffmann officiating with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations to the Alzheimer"s Association, Greater Cincinnati Chapter, 644 Linn Street Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203. The family would like to thank Lois' caregivers at Garden Manor for their comfort and care during her stay there.
