Obituary of Robert Cummings

CUMMINGS, Robert L. age 84 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties with his family by his side. Born December 13, 1926 in Taylorsville, Ohio, he was the son of John and Mary Etta (Hardman) Cummings and a retired Machinist with Systems Research Laboratories in Beavercreek, Ohio. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved fishing, woodworking, music and played many stringed instruments. Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lori Diane Murphy, brothers Gaylord, Gerald, Leo, John, Clinton and Leonard Cummings and sisters Georgia Wagner and Elma Krieg ; Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Sara (Leonard) Cummings of Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Carol (Ira) Waspe of Lebanon, Ohio; sister Wanda Jean Crawford of Seattle, Washington, grandchildren Noah, Logan, Austin and Rachel; four special nephews Jerry, Marvin, Ronnie and Randy Cummings and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Friday, March 25, 2011 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, Ohio at 1:15pm. A separate memorial service is being planned by the family and will be announced at a later date.
