Obituary of John Isaacs
ISAACS, John "Johnny" age 85 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday evening, March 15, 2011 at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Born July 18, 1925 in Trenton, Ohio, Johnny was the son of Godfrey and Bessie (Lamb) Isaacs and proud U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Johnny was a former Mayor of Corwin, Ohio, former owner of Isaac's Garage, a former Moose and Eagles lodge member, a proud Kentucky Colonel and a drummer in Johnny and the Rockin Rockets. Johnny was a loving husband, father and grandfather who learned how to read by reading the Bible Revelations 18. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Marie (Lamb) Isaacs, brothers Tommy and Delmer Lee Isaacs, sisters Lillie, Annie, Yulla and Darlene Isaacs, Johnny leaves behind his sons Earl John Isaacs of Waynesville, Gene Godfrey Isaacs of Corwin, Ohio, Russell Evan Isaacs of Kentucky, Rick Lee Isaacs and Ivan Waggoner Isaacs both of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers Joe, Charles and Herman Isaacs, sisters Alice Coffman Hulda Livingston, China Upton, Faye Ball, Martha Boggs, Edna and Madaline Alexander; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on the family Friday evening, March 18, 2011 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Corwin Pentecostal Church Church with funeral services at 12:00pm at the church with Reverend Acy Lamb and Brother Milo Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio.
