Obituary of Ethel Craig

CRAIG, Ethel F. (nee Stegemoller) age 86 of Sumter County, Florida and formerly of Warren and Clinton Counties in Ohio, passed peacefully Sunday morning, September 19, 2010 at the Wayne Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, Florida. Born November 9, 1923 in Lockland, Ohio, Ethel was the daughter of Edward H. and Bertha (Weichers) Stegemoller and had been employed with Hagemeiers and the Old Wayside Inn in West Union, Ohio. Ethel was an avid quilter and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents, husband George Craig in 1979, daughters Patricia Walsh and Jacquelin Willis, brothers William and Robert Stegemoller; sisters Mary Williams, Charlotte Burton and Amelia Stegemoller and one grandchild; Ethel leaves behind her loving sons James Leonard of Florida and Robert Sargent of Clarksville, daughter Geraldine Jarrell of Kentucky; brothers John of Lebanon,Ohio, Henry of Oregonia, Ohio and Elmer Stegemoller of Kentucky; sisters Hilda Marconet of Clarksville, Ohio and Dora Gentry of Lebanon, Ohio; five grandchildren and thriteen great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Michael McCormick officiating.
