Obituary of Robert Garrison

GARRISON, Robert Charles `Bob` age 80 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday morning, January 27, 2011 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida. Born June 4, 1930 in Lebanon, Ohio, Bob was the son of William H. and Julia E. (Sellers) Garrison and a retiree of Standard Oil of Ohio with 37 years of service. Bob was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in a MASH Unit and a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Bob was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge 26, York Rite, Odd Fellows, Grange, American Legion, VFW Post 6069, DAV and Eastern Star. Preceded in death by his parents, dear wife Virginia P. (Wirsch) Garrison in 1999, daughter Cheryl Fry and brother Eldred Garrison; Bob leaves behind his children Robert J. `Rob` (Kristi) Garrison of Columbus, Ohio, Kathie (Rick) Woodson of Xenia, Ohio and Teresa (William) Eichel of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 11:45am followed by the funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
