Obituary of Freda Kilburn

KILBURN, Freda M. (nee Hillard) age 79 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Lebanon Country Manor with her family by her side. Born March 13, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio, Freda was the daughter of Fred and Anna (Taylor) Hillard and a retired nursing home administrator. Freda was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a member of the Morrow Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Morrow Order of Eastern Star and founder, former owner and operator of the Pinecrest Nursing Center in Morrow, Ohio from 1953 until 2006. Freda also enjoyed spending time with her family and raising Rocky Mountain Saddle Horses with her husband Charlie on their family farm in Morrow. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Kilburn, daughter-in-law Debbie Kilburn, brother Fred Hillard, sisters Marie Lykins and Jan Huddleson; Freda leaves behind her children C. Michael Kilburn and Retha (Mike) Bartels of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren Stacy (Jeremy) Miller, Steve Kilburn and Suzi Kilburn; great-grandson Clay Miller; sister-in-law Barbara Hillard of Morrow, Ohio, brother-in-laws John (Rhonda) Kilburn and Les (Marilyn) Kilburn and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Friday, February 4, 2011 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Randy Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.
