Obituary of Gertrude Barnes

BARNES, Gertrude L. (nee Price) age 94 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Mason Christian Village with her family by her side. Born September 22, 1920 in Fayetteville, Ohio, Gertrude was the daughter of James and Gertrude (Chaille) Price and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Gerturde was active in her community in Mason Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, the Socialville Social Club, Grange and the Warren County Farm Bureau. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Henry Barnes and two sisters Martha McKinney and Margaret Carter; Gertrude leaves behind her loving children Buck (Tanya) Barnes of Clarksville, Ohio, Barbara Pettyjohn of Mason, Ohio, Margie (David) Jones, Bonnie (Jim) Clark and Arlene (Russ) Moore all of Lebanon, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Christ's Church, Mason, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00am at the church with Chaplain Tom Moll officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the Mason Christian Village or Mason Grange.
