Obituary of Ruth Westall

WESTALL, Ruth Evelyn (nee Wilson) age 88 of Lebanon passed away January 24, 2015 following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born April 3, 1926 ito Minnie K. (Ricketts) and Leo L. Wilson. She graduated from New Lexington High School in 1944. On July 26, 1947,she married her life-long sweetheart Floyd (Bud) Westall. She had worked for a time as a telephone operator in New Lexington, Ohio. After Bud's service in Korea, they moved to Lebanon in 1954. She was a long time member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church and had been a member of the Lebanon American Legion Auxiliary. She had a strong love of family and took great pride in being a homemaker. Her talent for baking cookies, cakes and pies were a favorite of family get-togethers. Ruth and Bud enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Texas and Florida. Surviving Ruth are her three sons - Mike/Kathy, Mark/Pegi and Marty/Bonnie Westall and a daughter - Marilyn Foster all of Lebanon. Grandchildren - Jessica, Chrissy, Andrew, Aaron and Brittney Westall, Nikki/Justin Kattau, Cody Foster, Kim, Allen/Robin Beyersdoefer. Great-grandchildren Alex,Bradley, Peyton Beyerdoefer, Skye Sheperd and Braydon Westall. Her sisters Rosie/Don Snider, Madeline/Dick Martindale, Thelma/Harold Hitchens and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death re her parents, husband -Bud, brothers Bernard and Harold Wilson and sister Betty Garrey. Calling hours Friday, January 30, 2015 from 10am until 12pm at Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm at the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church, Lebanon with Father Bernard Weldishofer officiating. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery.
