Obituary of H. Janet Collins

COLLINS, Hattie Janet (nee Culbertson) age 78 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Lebanon Country Manor. Born May 9, 1936 in Kenton County, Kentucky, has been a Lebanon since 1953. Janet was the daughter of Leonard and Irene (Peebles) Culbertson and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Janet loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting, and family get togethers. For many years, she worked alongside her husband former Sheriff James C. Collins as an office manager at the Warren County Sheriff's Office. She also worked for many years as the Service Manager at Fred Kibbey Chevrolet, as well as Bob Pulte Chevrolet. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband James C. Collins, brothers L.R. ,George, Charlie and Larry Culbertson and sisters Barb Schneider, Linda Culbertson and Mary Aladine Taliaferro, and great grandaughter Lillian Grace Couch. Janet leaves behind her children James E. Collins, Thomas J. (Barbara Jean) Collins, David A. Collins and Brenda S. (Bob) Jacob all of Lebanon, Ohio; brothers Bill Culbertson of Michigan, Bryan Lee Culbertson and Jimmy Culbertson both of Florida and sister Ruth Peck of Florida; ten grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 4pm until 6pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 6pm.
