Obituary of Hedwig Elmer

ELMER, Hedwig "Heidi" (nee Borges) age 80 of Morrow, Ohio passed peacefully Friday morning, October 31, 2014 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born February 2, 1934 on Rheine, Germany, Hedwig was the daughter of Hermann and Hedwig (Johansing) Borges and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Hedwig was a member of the Countryside Community Church in Lebanon, Ohio, the Christian Women's Club, the Bethesda Auxillary, a previous member of the Maineville Garden Club and had worked as a volunteer at Bethesda North for many years. Hedwig enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and sharing her faith in Christ with others. Preceded in death by her parents; Hedwig leaves behind her loving husband Ben A.L. Elmer of Morrow, Ohio; son Brian (Mary) Elmer of Morrow, Ohio; sister Renate (Werner) Juhe of Germany; granddaughter Katie Elmer; niece Belinda (Michael) Gastmann; grand nieces Freya and Almuth Gastmann and a multitude of friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 4, 2014 from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at the Countryside Community Church in Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 7:30pm with Reverend Lester Jones officiating. Graveside committal will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00am at the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
