Obituary of Bert Turner

TURNER, Bert S. age 89 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, January 15, 2012. Born July 11, 1922 in Berea, Kentucky. Bert was the son of Steve and Minerva (Lamb) Turner and was Vice President of Ironwood Phoenix, Inc.and a premier home builder. Bert was a loving and devoted father and grandfather, a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and six sisters; Bert leaves behind his sons Doug (Daliaha) Turner of Florida; John Turner of Waynesville, Ohio and Red (Becky) Turner of Lebanon, Ohio; brother Bill Turner of Lebanon, Ohio and Otis "Vic" Turner of Florida; former wife Reba E. (Dolly) Turner of Centerville, Ohio; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at the Lebanon Cemetery at 1:15pm with Reverend Roy Turner officiating.
