Obituary of Elizabeth Whitley

WHITLEY, Elizabeth Ellen "Lib" age 71, beloved wife of Ronald K. Whitley passed from this life Saturday, September 6, 2014 with Vitas Hospice at home surrounded by family and her lifelong friend Patsy Jaeger. She was born May 4, 1943 to Robert Lee Gould and Edith Rose (Leonard) Gould in Cincinnati. Ohio. Lib graduated from Loveland High School in 1961 and met the love of her life and was happily married to Ron for 51 years residing in Lebanon, Ohio. She was a happy homemaker who loved cooking and baking for her family. Lib loved camping, fishing and boating at Grand Lake, St. Mary's, Celina, Ohio. She also enjoyed casino hopping with Ron and friends. Lib was a member of the Southshore Sportsman Club of Grand Lake, St. Mary's, the Moose Lodge of Middletown, Ohio Chapter 183 and the Eastern Star. She was a kind, generous, fun-loving grandma who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Lib had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party. She leaves behind her loving husband Ron Whitley and their dog Lexie, brother Larry (Beverly) Gould; two daughters Karen Whitley of Lebanon, Ohio and Jennifer (Whitley) Updyke and husband Chip of Lebanon, Ohio; one son Rob Whitley (Cindy) of Georgetown, Kentucky and five grandchildren - Katie Adkins, Kassidy and Konnor Whitley, Kristen and Chaz Updyke and best friend Patsy Jaeger. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 12:00pm until 1:30pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 1:30pm with Dr. Daniel Flory officiating. Interment will be in the Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hopsice and Warren County Humane Association.
