Obituary of Jeanne Burns

BURNS, Jeanne Ann (nee Gustin) age 61 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, August 4, 2014 with her family by her side after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born January 1, 1953 in Piqua, Ohio, Jeanne was the daughter of Edith (Cunningham) Gustin and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jeanne was a 1971 graduate of Central High School in Piqua, Ohio and a 1995 graduate of Sinclair Community College where she earned her degree in nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Jeanne was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, going to the beach and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne leaves behind her loving husband of 39 years Dr. Melvin D. Burns, DDS of Lebanon, Ohio, sons Zachary (Jennifer) Burns of Lebanon, Ohio, Dr. Joshua (Katie) Burns, DDS of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Bradley (Jamie) Burns of Lebanon, Ohio and Trent Burns of Lebanon, Ohio; daughters Dr. Emily "Emmy" (Brooke) Burns, DDS of Columbus, Ohio and Jena (Chris) Hughes of Landen, Ohio; grandchildren Jackson, Lillian, Evelyn, Luke, Claire, Caroline, Olivia, Ava and Iyla and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, August 7, 2014 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the Lebanon United Methodist Church Friday evening, August 8, 2014 at 5:00pm with Pastor Dillon Staas officiating.
