Obituary of Jennie Benner

BENNER, Jennie M. (nee Mihalecz) age 88 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Otterbein Retirement Community. Born June 24, 1925 in Elmer, New Jersey, Jennie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mihalecz and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jennie had retired from Owens Manufacturing and was a glass blower by trade. Jennie worked for many years for Creative Glass at Kings Island, enjoyed auto racing (Jeff Gordon fan), the Cincinnati Reds and most of all her grandchildren. Jennie was a firm believer in eating oatmeal and attributed her long life to just that. Preceded in death by her parents, husband James A. Benner in 1992, son James Walter Benner in 2002, brothers Walt and Joe and sister Florence; Jennie leaves behind her loving son Wayne(Mitzie) Benner of Lebanon, Ohio, brothers Stanley and John; former daughter-in-law Terri; grandchildren Jennie, Kim, Jamie, Casey and Ronnie; 8 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00pm with Dr. Peter Larson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
