Obituary of James Ellis

ELLIS, James age 64 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, May 25, 2014 with his family by his side. Born July 21, 1949 in Logan, West Virginia, James was the son of Edward James and Audrey (Estep) Ellis and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who met him. James was a member of the New Beginning Church in Franklin, loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with his family, wii bowling, playing corn hole, fishing, camping. ham radio and the outdoors. Preceded in death by his parents and first wife Alice Ellis, James leaves behind his loving wife of 9 years Norma J. (Isaacs) Ellis of Lebanon, Ohio, sons John Roy Ellis of London, Ohio and James Ellis II of Lebanon, Ohio and John Warner of Columbus, Ohio; daughters Jamie (Eric) Metcalf of Middletown, Ohio, Melissa (Roy) Helmbold of Lebanon, Ohio, Amy (Tim) West of Mason, Ohio and Brooke Warner of Middletown, Ohio; grandchildren Michael, David and Amber Helmbold, Matthew, Emily and Christopher Metcalf, Dakota Ellis, Nathan and Jeremy West and Evan Warner and many other family members and friends. Receiving of friends will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Bruce Cornett officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
