Obituary of Vola Kay Penwell

PENWELL, Vola Kay (nee Amburgy) age 75 of Trenton, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014 at the Garden Manor Extended Nursing Care in Middletown, Ohio. Born January 4, 1939 in LeRose, Kentucky, Kay was the daughter of F.D. and Jalah (Spencer) Amburgy and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Kay referred to herself as "Baby Kay" as she was the youngest of 11 children. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands James Penwell and Thomas Cline; brothers Wayne, Kash, Marvin, Claude, Blaine and Cotton Amburgy and sisters Lois Bowman and Ilene Amburgy; Kay leaves behind her loving daughters Ronda (Tom) Huiet of Trenton, Ohio and Robyn Bare of Middletown, Ohio; brother Ellis (Joan) Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio, sister Fay Amburgy of Kentucky; grandchildren Rachel (Brett) Grahovac, Maggi and Alexandra Payne and Alysha Bare; great-grandchildren Lyvia and Graham Grahovac and many other family members and friends. Receiving of friends will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Lamar Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff members of Garden Manor Extended Care and Vitas Hospice both past and present for their loving care of "Baby Kay".
