Obituary of Richard Sparks

SPARKS, Richard Thomas age 65 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born December 23, 1948 in Estill County, Kentucky, Richard was the son of John Wade and Lucy (Cox) Sparks and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Richard was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era, a retiree from the EdgeComb Metal Company in Sharonville, Ohio and a member of the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Taulbee, Gop and Steven Sparks and sisters Edna Isaacs and Ethel Johns; Richard leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years Daisie (Farthing) Sparks of South Lebanon, Ohio; daughters Marilyn Warner of Winchester, Kentucky and Kathy (Danny) Bowman of Loveland, Ohio; sisters Dorothy Stamper of South Lebanon, Ohio and Lucille Mead of Springboro, Ohio; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many other family members and friends. Receiving of friends will be held Monday evening, March 24, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 7:00pm with Pastor David Frasure officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 1:00pm in the Walton Cemetery, Estill County, Kentucky.
