Obituary of Rick Hobbs

HOBBS, Rick Eugene age 58 of Waynesville, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Lakeside Manor Hospice at the Dayton VA Medical Center with his family by his side. Born June 1, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio, Rick was the son of Wade and Opal (Whittmore) Hobbs and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Rick attended Waynesville High School, was a member of Well of Grace Church in Lebanon, Ohio and was an accomplished musician playing guitar, banjo, bass and mandolin. Preceded in death by his parents and son Jeremiah Morgan, Rick leaves behind his loving wife of 14 years Karen (Knisley) Hobbs of Waynesville, Ohio; sons Joshua Morgan of Oregonia, Ohio; daughters Jessica (Mark) Reffitt of Trenton, Ohio, Lynn Jabbar of Middletown, Ohio and Danyell Nicole Morgan of Goshen, Ohio; brother Dwight (Maxine) Hobbs of Florida; sister Pam (Ernest) Lamb of Hillsboro, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Receiving of friends will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the Miami Cemetery Chapel in Corwin, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the chapel at 1:00pm with Pastor Bruce Lamb officiating. Burial with Military Honors to follow in the Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio.
