Obituary of Mona Hale

HALE, Mona M. (nee Penny) age 75 of Blanchester, Ohio passed peacefully Monday morning, January 20, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. Born November 7, 1938 in Brown County, Ohio, Mona was the daughter of Larry and Frances (Blair) Penny and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone who knew her. Many will remember Mona from her years of employment with Kendrick Moving and Storage and her love of Blue Grass music. Preceded in death by her parents and former husband Preston Griffeth; Mona leaves behind her loving husband Morris Hale of Blanchester, Ohio; daughters Susan (Richard) McGeorge of Maineville, Ohio, Sarah (Jerry) Silcox of Morrow, Ohio, Nancy (Martin) Sanner of Springboro, Ohio and Leslie South of West Carrollton, Ohio; step-children Robert Hale, Donna Johnson, Joyce (Ron) Henson and Kimberly (Dan) Yeary all of Blanchester, Ohio; sisters Dee (Ron) Waters of Blanchester, Ohio and Rose (Charles) Shinkle of HIllsboro, Ohio; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and step grandchildren. Receiving of friends will be held Friday evening, January 24, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning, January 25, 2014 at 10:00am with Reverend Ron Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, Ohio.
