Thank you mom!
As you know full well mom, I will not be there physically today... I will indeed be there though... as you also know full well. I am celebrating YOU as I continue walking America, as I continue using the intrinsic abilities which enable me to do what I do... traits no doubt, inherited from you mom. YOU went against your desires to try and dissuade me from my endeavors, due to your love and concern for me, your youngest child. YOU instead, fully endorsed my walks across this beautiful country... BECAUSE... YOU too, lost two children and had experienced the horrible pain that was the catalyst for my drive to do what I do. THANK YOU MOM for not only making me who I am, but for understanding and for loving me NO MATTER WHAT!! YOU are the reason both me and my siblings love our children with the intensity we do! YOU are the reason I push on and absolutely REFUSE to not finish what I started!! I inherited from YOU, both my tenacity and my capacity for LOVE!! Oh... THANK YOU mom for my sense of humor! Play some boogies up there and pound the ivories off the keys!! I love you mom!!!!!!

I grew up in South Lebanon knowing Lorene and her family. I have fond memories of her contagious laughter, smile and her big heart. She always treated me as if I were one of her own. She always had a funny story and/or comment, I don't remember any frowns! Becuse of distances, I had not seen Lorene for many years, but reconnected with my good friend, Steve, a few years ago through our computers. She loved her kids beyond compare and loved people in general. She will be greatly missed by people whose lives she touched. I'm sure by now she and my mother, Kay Peters, and my Dad, Ernest Peters have had a good laugh!

We shall miss "the last one" of our Spencer roots. Aunt Lorene was one of the unique ones in our family...we loved her and enjoyed her music and laughter and often zany ways. But that is what was so special about her. My love to all. Please accept our deepest condolances and know you are in our prayers.
