Obituary of Martha Miller

MILLER, Martha J. "Joann" (nee Woerner) age 74 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Bethesda North Hospital with her family by her side. Born November 6, 1939 in O'Fallan, Illinois, Joann was the daughter of Carl and Helen (Barnett) Woerner and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Joann attended Hillsboro High School in Tampa, Florida and was a cosmetoligist by trade. For many years, she worked alongside her husband in their wood shop and the Joy-Lyn Salon. Joann was active in her community and volunteered with the Warren County Conservation Club (where she was a past president) and the Cedar City Garden Club. Joann enjoyed crafts, mushroom hunting in Michigan, traveling in their RV around the United States and their grandchldren. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Howard Woerner, sister Winona Queen, grandson Walter Woods, nephew Kenny Carrel and bother-in-law Larry Childs; Joann leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years Walter H. Miller II "Walt" of Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Regina Storms of Lebanon, Ohio; granddaughter Amanda Morningstar of Wilmington, Ohio; great-grandsons Keyton and Bentley Johnson; sisters Judy Berry of Lebanon, Ohio, Mary Cornett of Lebanon, Ohio and Kathy Carpenter of Dayton, Ohio; brother Michael Woerner of Orlando, Florida; brother-in-law Tom (Sandy) Miller; sisters-in-law Mary (Charles) Carter and Emma Childs and many other family members and friends. Receiving of friends will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00pm with Reverend Chuck Testas officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
