Obituary of James Gregg

GREGG, James R. age 83 of Springboro, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, December 23, 2013 at Heartland of Sycamore in Miamisburg with his family by his side. Born December 26, 1929 in Lebanon, Ohio at the Blair Brothers Hospital, James was the son of Warner S. and Ruth (South) Gregg and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. James was a 1947 graduate of Lebanon High School and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Era. James was retired from the Dayton Reliable Tool Company where he worked in management research & development and was a huge fan of Ohio State Football. James met his wife of 61 years, Esther (Lamb) Gregg in Red Lion, Ohio where she worked as a car-hop at the former Mom's Restaurant location. Preceded in death by his parents, James is survived by his wife Esther (Lamb) Gregg of Springboro, Ohio; sons Gary (Jane) Gregg of Springboro, Ohio and Gordon R. (Kim) Gregg of Lebanon, Ohio; sister-in-laws Elsie M. (Ron) Black of Springboro, Ohio and Dorothy Eyler of Waynesville, Ohio; grandchildren Benjamin L. Gregg, Nicholas P. Gregg, Samuel and Daniel Wysong, Stephanie Jordan and Stacy Black. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at 12:00pm at the Turtlecreek Cemetery with Pastor Doug Dean officiating.
