Obituary of Roy Reed

REED, Roy B. age 90 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, October 18, 2013 with his family surrounding him. He was born April 23, 1923 in Roark, Kentucky and lived in Lebanon, Ohio for 55 years raising his family, working in the community and serving in an advisory capacity to all family and friends who sought wisdom and instruction. He was grateful for every extra day that God blessed him with beyond his "3 score and 10 years." Preceded in death by his parents Boyd and Abigail (Napier) Reed; brothers Ray and Russell and sister Eulah; Roy is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Sophia (Roark) Reed; sons Gerald (Jennifer) and David (Karen); grandchildren Annie Simmons, Cindy Zeiher (Bryan), David Reed, Emily Smith (Dustin), Abigail Reed, William Reed; great-grandchildren Elex Gerald Simmons, Owen Zachary Simmons, Aaron Matthew Zeiher, Colton Michael Zeiher, Kaitlyn Sophia Smith, Roy Boone Smith and Wyatt Russell Reed; brothers George and Ross and sisters Beulah Baker, Lula Cheatham and Lola Asher; sister-in-law Beulah Reed and a multitude of wonderful nephews and nieces most of whom live in his beloved Kentucky. Graveside funeral services will be held in the Lebanon Cemetery Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1:00pm with Pastor Todd Pierce officiating.
