Obituary of Dorothy South

SOUTH, Dorothy (nee Kilburn) age 78 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Fairfield, Ohio. Born June 17, 1935 in Beattyville, Kentucky, Dorothy was the daughter of DeCorsie and Dora (Gilbert) Kilburn and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Dorothy had been employed with the G.G. Murphy Store in Lebanon, Ohio for many years and later worked as a child care provider at the Northside Baptist Church Daycare in Lebanon, Ohio. Dorothy attended the Springdale Nazarene Church and was active in the nursery at the church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack South in 1975; infant son Jonathon South in 1963 and sisters Evelyn Welcher, Bonnie Inlow and Marie White; Dorothy leaves behind her children Jack and Lisa South of Colerain Township; sister Mary Reynolds of Wilmington, Ohio; brother-in-laws Tom White, Lonnie Welcher and Everett Inlow all of Blanchester, Ohio and her longtime dear friend Helen Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm with Pastor Marshall Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrow Cemetery, Morrow, Ohio.
