Obituary of Arabella Hamlin
Arabella [Jones] Hamlin of Lebanon, Ohio, died Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Mount Pleasant Retirement Village
in Monroe, Ohio with her family by her side.
Born February 27, 1929 in Bloomfield, Indiana and raised in Greene County, Indiana she was the youngest daughter of William Franklin Jones and Nellie [Jessup] Jones. After graduating from Worthington Jefferson High School in 1947 she worked at RCA in Bloomington, Indiana and RCA in Indianapolis and was a wonderful homemaker. After the last of her five children left home for college she taught Cake Decorating at D. Russell Lee Vocational School. She also was a self employed Cake decorator and worked in Food Service at Middletown and Miami Trace Schools. After graduating from the Medical School of Electrology she was a practicing Electrologist for many years.
She married Robert Hamlin, of [originally of Bloomfield] Indianapolis, November 24, 1948 and they resided in Indianapolis for about nine years. After which they lived in Lewisville, Indiana; Middletown, Ohio; New Castle, Indiana; Monroe, Ohio; and Washington Court House, Ohio. After the death of her husband she made her home in Lebanon, Ohio.
Mrs. Hamlin was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Hamlin of 49 years, sisters Wanda Larson, Kathalene Alexander, Wilma Snodgrass, and two brothers, Joseph and John Jones.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lydia(Gia) and Edward Bogan of Troy, Ohio; Four sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Mary of Spencer, Indiana; Douglas and Dorothy of Alexandria, Indiana; Charles and Carol, and Philip and Peggy Hamlin both of Lebanon, Ohio, and sister Philena [Joe] Huddleston of Victorville, California, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 7:00pm at Countryside Community Church of the Nazarene, Lebanon, Ohio with Reverend Lester Jones officiating, Viewing will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 3:30pm until 7:00pm at the Countryside Community Church of the Nazarene, Deerfield Road, Lebanon, Ohio. .Burial will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 at 10:00am in the Butler County Memorial Park, 4570 Trention-
