Obituary of Clara Wetz
Clara (South) Wetz, 86, of Lebanon, Ohio, went to be with the Lord and her beloved Charlie on August 14, 2013.
Survived by her children: Daniel, Catherine, Joseph, Connie Wetz, Cindy Radaszewski (Frank), her 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Sister Naomi Hoskins (Leonard)
Clara was born and raised in Morrow, Ohio. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie Wetz of 67 years, her parents Francis & Lydia South, and son, Michael Wetz and Granddaughter Michelle Dawn Wetz. Clara spent her married life as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Charlie and Clara spent the winter months in Ft Myers during their retirement years.
Clara loved to cook and bake and spent the majority of her life in the kitchen making wonderful foods. Her kids and grandkids still immediately head to the kitchen upon arrival at her house! Clara was also an avid bird watcher and had a lot of bird houses on her back deck!
Clara was a previous volunteer at the Lebanon Food Pantry and member of the Lebanon Church of God for over 30 years. When Clara's illness prohibited her attendance at church, she had been blessed with the visits of Doug & Diane Sibcy of Impact Church. Enough thanks can never be said for these visits.
Special thanks to lifelong friends Ben & Norma Jean Schlagheck and David & Phyllis Brannen - your visits helped to keep Mom going since Dad's passing.
Kurt Rhea - enough cannot be said for your love, help & support you always gave with a willing heart. You were with her to the end.
A celebration of Clara's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Impact Church; 645 Oak Street, Lebanon, Ohio, luncheon afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Impact Church, 645 Oaks Street, Lebanon, OH 45036, c/o Charles & Clara Wetz Mission Fund or Research for the untreatable Pulmonary Fibrosis, c/o University of Cincinnati/Pulmonary Research, Post Office Box 19970, Cincinnati, OH, 45219, in memory of Clara Wetz.
