Obituary of Willie Conn

CONN, Willie Dennis "Pops" age 82 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, August 12, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehab. Born October 12, 1930 in Farmer, Kentucky, Dennis was the son of Charlie and Lucy (De Hart) Conn and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Dennis was graduate of Morrow High School and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving from 1949 to 1952 and was a Bronze Star Recipient and a retired buying coordinator from Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dennis was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. #6069, First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge where he achieved Royal Arch. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Daniel, Kenneth and Charles; Dennis leave behind his loving wife of 59 years Irma (Adams) Conn, sons Mike (Donna J.), Dennis R. (Valerie) and Dan (Donna C.); daughter Cindy; brother David (Peggy) Conn; sister Lucy Francis "Dee-Dee" (Allan) Cook and grandchildren Hannah and Jordan. Friends may call on the family Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Tufts officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to the Arthritis Foundation or Silver Grove Baptist Church.
