Obituary of Paul Southerland

SOUTHERLAND, Paul age 85 of Kings Mills, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Avalon in Maineville, Ohio. Born April 9, 1928 in Hulen, Kentucky, Paul was the son of Floyd and Ethel (Hobbs) Southerland, one of twelve children and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Paul had lived in the Kings Mills area since 1962 coming from Cincinnati and was retired from Diamond International. Paul was a Veteran of World War II and served his country proudly in the Army Air Corp. Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Fannie E. (Bailey) Southerland, brothers McKinley, Floyd Jr., Thomas, Claude and Earl Southerland and sisters Annette Vires and Mary Jo Turner; Paul leaves behind his son Bobby (Valerie) Southerland of Middlesboro, Kentucky; daughter Paula Jo (Amy Miller) Southerland of Kings Mills, Ohio; sisters Shirley Moore of Peebles, Ohio; Georgia Mae Southerland of Blackmont, Kentucky, Brenda Patterson of Morrow, Ohio and Yvonne Stoner of Berea, Kentucky; grandchildren Robert Michael, Eric, Autumn, Sean, Tabitha and Jason Southerland and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Monday, July 29, 2013 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Reverend Brice Thomas officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
