Obituary of Lue Schliesser

SCHLIESSER, Lue A. age 76 of Waynesville, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, November 28, 2011at the Otterbein Retirement Community just outside of Lebanon, Ohio. Born June 6, 1935 in Defiance, Ohio, Lue was the son of Delmer and Faith (Hinsch) Schliesser and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He owned and operated Schliesser Tack Shop in Lebanon, Ohio for many years working with horse owners and trainers at the Lebanon Raceway as a premier leather worker. He also dearly loved trail riding with his mules. Preceded in death by his parents, Lue leaves behind his wife Tammy (Hayden) Schliesser of Waynesville, Ohio; daughters Nancy (Paul) Sampson of Waynesville, Ohio, Linda (Dean) Gerig of Indiana, brother Jack Schliesser of Mark Center, Ohio; sister Dorothy Christy of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Breanne Sampson, Dillon, Shaina, Brady, Cody and Tyler Gerig and several great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Monday, December 5, 2011 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 6:00pm with Reverend Barbara Schnecker officiating. The family requests that memorial donations be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
