Obituary of Raymond Powell

POWELL, Raymond "Ray" age 82 of Maineville, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2013 at University Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born December 24, 1930 in McKee, Kentucky, Ray was the son of Nathan and Marie (Williams) Powell and a loving and devoted husband, father and friend to all who knew him. Ray was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Era and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. Ray was a graduate of the Purdue University Environmental Science Department, was the owner of Powell's Termite and Pest Control in Mason, Ohio for 36 years and was affectionately known as "Warren County's #1 Bug Man". Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph, Cecil and Lester Powell and sisters Elrina and Bertie; Ray leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 35 years Ola Faye (Johnson) Powell of Maineville, Ohio; son Brian Miller of Maineville, daughter Sheli Miller of Waynesville and other children Sherry, Mike and Tammy Powell and brother Ermond Powell of Hillsboro, Ohio. Friends may call on the family Monday evening, Jume 17, 2013 from 5pm until 7pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7pm with Reverend Arthur McFarland officiating and Military Honors provided by the Mason V.F.W. Memorial Team.
