Obituary of Nola Halsey

HALSEY, Nola Ann (nee Eldridge) age 73 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, June 10, 2013 at her home. Born December 27, 1939 in Elliott County, Kentucky, Nola was the daughter of John J. and Grovie H. (Fannin) Eldridge and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Nola was a retired worker from the Miami Carey Company in Monroe and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Middletown Chapter. Nola enjoyed sewing and being with her children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Danny Joe Halsey and brothers Burtchell and Rolla Eldridge, Nola leaves behind her sons Timothy J. Halsey of Lebanon, Ohio and Terry Lee Halsey of Wilmington, Ohio; daughters JoAnn Long of Franklin, Ohio and Vanessa Day of Clarksville, Ohio; brothers Charlie, David, Glenn and Rick Eldridge all of Kentucky and Tommy and Robert Eldridge of Fairborn, Ohio; sisters Myrtle Gillian, Patty Ratliff, Mary Halsey and Martha Jones all of Kentucky; grandchildren Joey Roman, Ashley Halsey-Hemingway, James P. Metcalf, Austin Halsey, Jordan Halsey and Dalton Douglas and great-grandson Nolan Michael Roman. Friends may call on the family Friday, June 14, 2013 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Menifee Home for Funerals in Frenchburg, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Brother Terry Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Catron Cemetery in Pomeroyton, Kentucky.
