Obituary of Thomas Shepherd

SHEPHERD, Thomas L. age 70 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Born April 13, 1941 in Keokee, Virginia, Thomas was the son of Melvin and Bonnie Lee (McCracken) Shepherd and a loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend to all who knew him. Thomas retired from the International Paper Corporation in Mason, Ohio and loved to garden at home. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria Jean (Hawk) Shepherd, son Jason Shepherd, brothers Hayes, James and John Shepherd and sister Lillian Shyler; Thomas leaves behind his daughters Lesa (Todd) Newton and Kris Russell and daughter-in-law Angel Shepherd all of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters Nancy Butler of Milford, Ohio and Aileen Mogenberg of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Dereck Thomas and Brooke Laurenn Shepherd and Noah Russell. Friends may call on the family Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00pm with Pastor Shahne Stone and Chuck Snider officiating. The family has requested that memorial donations be directed to Lesa Newton, C/O Huntington Bank, Columbus Avenue, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
