Obituary of George South

SOUTH, George W. age 78 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Friday, May 24, 2013 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. Born March 8, 1935 in Jackson, Kentucky, George was the son of Leonard and Audrey (Haddix) South and a retired inspector from Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio. George was a lifelong resident of Warren County, Ohio and a loving father and grandfather. George enjoyed growing roses and was an accomplished carver. George was known to carve vegetables into goldfish to get his grandchildren to eat their vegetables! Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Alex and Estell South, George leaves behind his son Estell (Cindy) South of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters Alma "Amy" (Barton) Fee and Angela (Raymond) Harding all of Morrow, Ohio; grandchildren Brandy, Joshua, Brittany, Aaron, Adrian, Shayla, Samuel and Jackie; great-grandchildren Addison, Tristan, Hannah, Ean, Ashton, Collin and Mallory. Friends may call on the family Thursday, May 30th, 2013 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral ome at 2:00pm with burial to follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
