Obituary of Thomas Ross

ROSS, Thomas H. age 81 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday afternoon May 6, 2013 at the Otterbein Retirement Community surrounded by his family. Born May 3, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio, Tom was the son of Lessle and Miriam Ross and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Army Airborne Rangers as a Paratrooper and accomplished over 5,000 jumps. Tom retired from Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio where he worked as a beam walker and then worked for Habitat for Humanity . Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Hazel and sisters Jean Butts and Rena Murphy; Tom leaves behind his loving wife Cecil (Campbell) Ross of Lebanon, Ohio, sons Jeff (Michi) Gray of Cleveland, Ohio and Gary Gray of Dallas, Texas; daughters Tina Bowe of Reno, Nevada, Jean Stucker of California and Rose Stepper of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sisters Bessie Hughs and Delores Schmidt; seven grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at the Otterbein Retirement Community Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm at the chapel. Final resting place will be in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville.
