Obituary of Mae Smith

SMITH, Mae (nee Day) age 92 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Monday, April 22, 2013. Born March 30, 1921 in Booneville, Kentucky, Mae was the daughter of Minter and Grace (Stacey) Day. Mae had lived in the Warren County area since 1941 and was a 50 year member of the Sycamore Presbyterian Church. Mae and her late husband Russell T. Smith owned and operated the Sycamore Sales & Service in Mason for more than 30 years and she had also worked for the Crosley Corporation for several years. Mae was a 15 year member of the Warren County Metropolitan Authority and was one of the original organizers of the Warren County Board of MRDD. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell T. Smith, sisters Margaret Garrett and Mammie Roberts; Mae leaves behind her sons Robert and Russell Smith of Lebanon, Ohio, grandson Joshua Russell Smith of Monroe, Ohio and a host of other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Friday, April 26, 2013 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Reverend Ted Kalsbeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.
