Obituary of Yvonne Sorge

SORGE, Yvonne (nee Carpenter) age 76 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Thursday evening, March 28, 2013 at the Heritage Springs Care Center in West Chester with her family by her side. Born June 2, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Yvonne was the daughter of Forrest and Evelyn (Cagon) Carpenter and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Yvonne was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, Cedar City Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the former Honey Festival Committee. Yvonne was an Amity High School graduate and enjoyed art, painting, floral arranging and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ted, Dick and Eugene Carpenter, grandson Michael Sorge and great grandchildren Madeline Ross and Amelia Sorge; Yvonne leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Norman Sorge of Lebanon, Ohio; sons Daniel Sorge of Cincinnati and Timothy Sorge of Lebanon, Ohio, daughters Cindy (David) Shaw of Lebanon, Ohio and Betsy Bingham of West Carrollton, Ohio; brother Tom Carpenter of Cardington,Ohio; grandchildren Erik (Adrian) Shaw, Natalie (Rick) Ross. Frank Bingham and Adam, Elizabeth, and Amanda Sorge; great grandchildren Noah, Elizah and Jonah Ross; Kaelan, Kinsleieh Shaw, Frank Bingham and Austyn Sorge and many other family members and friends. Friends may call on the family Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 7:00pm with Reverend Richard Ross officiating. The family appreciates memorial donations that are directed to Hospice of Southwest Ohio and wishes to thank the staff of Heritage Springs for the loving care they provided for Yvonne and her family.
