Obituary of Gladys Davenport-Copas

DAVENPORT-COPAS, Gladys Faye (nee Lamb) age 86 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed peacefully Sunday evening, January 6, 2013 at Sycamore Medical Center in Miamisburg, Ohio. Born December 23, 1926 in Franklin, Ohio, Gladys was the daughter of Sylvester and Lilly (Belle) Lamb and a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Gladys was a true prayer warrior. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Kenneth C. Davenport and second husband, Francis Copas, sons Buddy Davenport and Kenneth Davenport; Gladys leaves behind son Greg Davenport of Florida; brothers Joseph Lamb of Waynesville, Ohio, Everett Lamb of Lebanon, Ohio, RalphLamb of Texas and Norman Lamb of Corwin, Ohio; sister Geneva Osborne of Waynesville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm with Pastor Acy Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Miami Cemetery, Corwin, Ohio.
