Obituary of James Barnes

BARNES, James Elery age 88 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of Monroe , Michigan, passed peacefully Monday afternoon, December 10, 2012 at Kindred Nursing & Rehab in Lebanon, Ohio. Born July 14, 1924 in Newcomb, Tennessee, James was the son of Elery and Mayreese (Baird) Barnes and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. James retired from the Operating Engineers Local 324 in Monroe, Michigan and was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon,Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Viola Mae Barnes in 2006, four sisters and a step-son David Eves, James leaves behind his loving wife of 6 years Frances (Eagle) Eves-Barnes of Lebanon, Ohio, sons Elery Barnes of Michigan, Todd Barnes of New York, daughter Susan Grimes of Caryville, Tennessee; sister Gaily Bray of Middlesboro, Kentucky; step-sons Louis Eves, Jr. and Michael Eves both of Mason, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Full Gospel Church of God in Lebanon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the church at 7:00pm with Pastor Ray Napier officiating. Burial will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Leach Cemetery, Lake City, Tennessee.
