Words seems so meaningless right now....but the prayers I know will be heard and the Lord will send His amazaing gracing to comfort you all in this time. Ralph was an icon in my life! It seems we were either at your house, at Bonzo's pond camping or Rocky Fork Lake. I have so many wonderful memories and I'm so thankful for each one! I Love You Guys!

We are fortunate to have had Ralph in our lives. He was caring, loving, and generous. He did much to help his family, friends, and those in need without ever bragging or even mentioning the deeds he did. We love him and will miss him. He will always be in our heart.

We were fortunate to have had opportunities to share time with Ralph in his life's journey. He was a person that displayed love for his family and fairness to all that he encountered in his daily living. He will be missed by many that loved him for his fine character and commitment .

Ralph. He was a very special person in my life. Over several visits with him he became more than my God children's grandfather. He was a brother to me; and that would be more than a Marine brother. On our first meeting Ralph made me feel like family. As you recall, it was a most auspicious entrance that day of your marriage when more than alcohol flowed. I remember grasping table clothes and napkins to soak up the water that Helen managed to spill over the table and those sitting around Carla and me when Ralph was introduced as the father of the groom. On a later time Carla and I visited Lebanon, I think for Connor's naming and meeting Granny Lions (another lady I feel in love with) and DJ. On a trip around town, Ralph, Mark and I found ourselves in a local pub and tossed down a few bruskees. It was there, between two or twelve beers, I heard the unedited versions of the stories about the three boys growing up in Ohio and watched with pride as Ralph showed his love and pride in his boys. My most favorite memory is and shall always be sharing the walk around the Marine Corps museum with him. Having Ralph talk about the difficult landing he and his fellow Marines encountered on a small atoll in the South Pacific called Tarawa and having the opportunity in sharing my pride as we walked through the Vietnam display and I was given the opportunity to share my first with him of being the first Marine boots on the ground in Vietnam in 1962. That was special for me to see the interest shown by an old salt in a "boot's" first combat experience. That day also provided the opportunity to see Ralph walk about the walls of the WWII Memorial in DC and provide me a better historical perspective one doesn't get from books, documentaries and the commentaries of talking head. That day I say a proud man seeing how he and his contemporaries are honored by those who live free in what he and I believe remains the greatest nation in the world protected by the greatest fighting force in the world.
