Obituary of Crannel Louallen

LOUALLEN, Crannel E. "Gene" age 91 of South Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio. Born July 11, 1921 in Lawrence County, Alabama, Gene was the son of Luther and Pearl (Farmer) Louallen and a proud US Army Veteran. Gene was retired from the General Motors Company, was a member of the United Auto Workers and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Thelma Louallen, second wife Nadine Louallen, brothers Russell and Arlon Louallen and sister Flora Long; Gene leaves behind his sons Arnold (Lila) Louallen of Lebanon, Ohio and Bruce Louallen of South Lebanon, Ohio; daughters Bobbi Mapes of Norwood, Ohio and Doris Louallen of South Lebanon, Ohio; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call on the family Saturday, October 20 , 2012 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Stine Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Reverend Arthur McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
