Obituary of Richard E. Lake

LAKE, Richard Eugene age 81 of Lebanon, Ohio passed peacefully at the Sheridan of Mason with his family by his side. Born December 12, 1938 in Lebanon, Ohio, Richard was the son of Hugh and Ethel Lake, a lifelong resident of Lebanon, Ohio and a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Richard was a former member of the Cornerstone Church of God and was the owner/operator of Lake Built Construction, Inc formed in 1977. Richard was with the Lebanon Fire Department from 1964 until he retired in 1982 as Assistant Chief. Richard enjoyed hunting and a good game of golf and was a member of the Mathers Mill Club. Preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Ethel (nee Shockey) Lake; loving wife Marjorie Lake in 2019, brothers John and Firman Lake; Richard leaves behind his loving children Rick Lake of Lebanon, Ohio and Becky (Michael) Stebbins of Lebanon, Ohio; grandchildren Rachel (Brett) Grahovac, Cody (Katey) Lake and Andrea Oxendine; great-grandchildren Lyvia, Graham, Christian, Austin, Johnathon, Shawn and Dominik and many other family members and close friends. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm in the Lebanon Cemetery Tuesday, February 25, 2020 with Pastor Rick Huff officiating. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Sheridan of Mason and Queen City Hospice for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association or to Queen City Hospice.
